Pregnancy Care in Gregory Hills

Pregnancy is one of the most significant experiences in a woman’s life, and having a trusted specialist by your side makes all the difference. Dr Nader Bakhit provides continuous, personalised pregnancy care from your very first appointment through to birth and beyond.

At his consulting rooms in Gregory Hills and Liverpool, Dr Bakhit takes an unhurried, supportive approach to pregnancy care. Every visit is an opportunity to monitor your health, track your baby’s development, and ensure you feel confident and prepared for the journey ahead.

Your Pregnancy Journey

First Trimester (Weeks 1–12)

Your pregnancy care begins with an initial consultation where Dr Bakhit reviews your health history, arranges a dating ultrasound, and orders important blood tests and early screening. This is also the time to discuss any concerns, ask questions, and begin building your pregnancy care plan.

Second Trimester (Weeks 13–27)

During the second trimester, you will have regular check-ups to monitor your health and your baby’s growth. The morphology scan at around 20 weeks provides a detailed assessment of your baby’s development. Glucose tolerance testing for gestational diabetes is also performed during this period.

Third Trimester (Weeks 28–40)

As your due date approaches, appointments become more frequent. Dr Bakhit will monitor your baby’s growth and position, check your blood pressure, and discuss your birth plan in detail. This is the time to prepare for labour and feel confident about what lies ahead.

What We Monitor During Pregnancy

Throughout your pregnancy, Dr Bakhit monitors a range of important factors to ensure the health and safety of both you and your baby. This includes maternal blood pressure, blood glucose levels, baby’s growth and development via ultrasound, fetal heart rate and movements, and screening for conditions such as gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia.

Dr Bakhit also places importance on your mental health and emotional wellbeing, providing a supportive space to discuss any anxieties or concerns you may have during pregnancy.

Creating Your Birth Plan

Dr Bakhit works closely with you to develop a birth plan that reflects your preferences while ensuring the safety of you and your baby. Together, you will discuss hospital options, pain management preferences, and what to expect during labour and delivery. Whether you are planning a vaginal birth or a caesarean section, Dr Bakhit will guide you through the process with expertise and care.
